IN BRIEF: Counselors offer college admissions night to parents

The Counseling Department held a Case Studies Night on Tuesday, May 24, where parents participated in a mock admissions process to understand how colleges evaluate a student’s application.

Parents were sent to different classrooms where they met with admissions officers from the University of Southern California.

The Case Studies Night is designed to give parents a new perspective on the difficulties of the college admissions process, according to counselor Gina Liberotti. The purpose of the Case Studies Night is β€œto give parents a peek into how rigorous the process is, how difficult that process is, and how subjective the process is,” Liberotti said.
