Five hundred parents came together to celebrate the new school year in Malloy Commons on Saturday, Sept. 30, for the Blue and White Parent Party.
Loyola alumni and parents were invited to socialize and participate in activities at the event such as dancing and playing a variety of games throughout the night.
Parents could also watch college and professional football games while eating from various food stations at the event.
Due to the busy schedule of the Christmas season, the leaders of the Mother’s Guild found that it was in the best of interest to administer a more casual, more affordable community builder during a slightly less busy time of the school year.
Director of Events Karin Chamberlain said, “We wanted to do something more fun at a time of the year that’s slightly less busy than Christmas, [so]the Blue and White [Parent party] was created.”
